Short, Short Piece

Note: This was a post I did for one of my Buffy the Vampire Slayer websites, enjoy. The character itself is from my own head though.

"of all the days for it to be raining" panted Detective Holland as she ran after someone who wanted to get away from her. He had just ran a stop sign and a traffic light that wasn't good. She had tried to catch him in her car but apparently that had served difficult. It was thundering and raining and midnight. She was soaked from head to toe in water. "FREEZE!!!" she called out but either he didn't hear her or he didn't care to. The woman had half a desire to use magic and pull him back to her or teleport to where he was but that would be bad, exposing the magic she had been given as a gift and of course she would have to explain to Trish why on earth she had used it.

Instead she decided to wait for him there was only one way out of this place after all and finally he came back around but instead of trying to run he came straight at her and vamped out. A vampire, you're kidding right? so this apparently gave her enough motive to kill him. Getting out a stake she put it through his chest. "So much for being safe" she muttered as she saw the fine dust fall on the floor and than wash away in the rain.

Either the guy had been blind and not seen she was older, or she was her target for the fact that she was a witch. No matter, he was now gone or dead whichever was the politically correct term and she needed to get back to the prescient. She had been doing a stakeout so to speak to see if the suspect to her current open case showed up obviosuly they hadn't. Finally getting back in her car she coughed into her sleeves. "This is just great, I'm coming down with a cold" she muttered
